Lesa holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Florida State University (yes she's a fierce Seminole), and a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbus State University.
Lesa Kerlin became the Director of the Career Center in August of 1999. Prior to coming to Truman, Lesa spent ten years at Columbus State University in Georgia in a variety of positions, most recently the Director of The Career Center. Her responsibilities at Truman, in addition to overseeing all facets of the Career Center, include making class presentations, providing individual and group career counseling, and marketing the Career Center services to the faculty, staff, and administration at Truman.
Polly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Environmental Science from the University of Missouri in Columbia, and a Master of Education degree with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from William Woods University.
Polly joined the Career Center in 2003 after a 20+ year career in the airline industry where she worked in various positions from flight attendant to in-flight service training. For Truman her responsibilities include conducting career workshops and providing individual and group career counseling. Polly also works closely with Truman faculty and staff on a variety of projects and supervises the Career Center student employment program.
Elizabeth graduated from Truman in 2009 with her Master of Arts in English and in 2007 with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and English.
Katie graduated from Truman in December 2008 with her Master of Arts in Education and in May 2008 with her Bachelor of Arts in History.
Katie is the most recent addition to the Career Center staff, joining in August 2009. Her responsibilities include scheduling recruiting events for companies and on-campus interviews for students. She organizes the Career Expo each semester and gathers data for the Annual Report.
