Internships provide a hands-on educational experience where students can learn, grow, and contribute in a professional setting all at the same time. Tremendous opportunities are available to all Truman students through internships, usually in their junior and senior years.
Some internships might be paid or unpaid, part-time or full-time, taken for credit or no credit. And internship opportunities can be local, national, or abroad — several University departments, such as Public Relations and Multicultural Affairs, offer internships right here on campus.
For non-University sponsored internships, many of our departments have a coordinator who can help students locate an internship that matches their interests and professional goals. The Career Center consults many students interested in finding internships and offers helpful resources.
