Internships

Here you can find on-line resources for internships, including where to find them and how to apply.

But before you go, see if what you need can be found right here. Here's how the Career Center can help you:

  • Check out the Career Center's internship resources webpage to read all about how and where to start your internship search. Also, you can find some intern success stories written from interviews of Truman students.

  • If you're looking into the Washington Center Internship program, make sure to read this article for contact info. The Washington Center internships are open to any major, and are worth 15 credit hours during the spring semester.

  • The Career Center hosts Career Expo, where many internships are offered (click here to see what companies are offering internships). There is a Career Expo in the fall, and in the spring. You must also be registered to eRecruiting if you wish to interview or to send a resume with a company. Make sure to come in the Career Center to find out deadlines and to prepare yourself for meeting with potential employers.

  • Register with eRecruiting. You can find hundreds of internship and job opportunities, apply for them, and much more.

  • Come in the Career Center during our office hours (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm). We have wonderful resources on all kinds of internships and where to find them. Our in-center assistants can help you find the right resources. and can also help with critiquing resumes and cover letters (no appointment necessary). You can also schedule an appointment with a member of our staff, who are wonderful sources of knowledge and advice. You can find us in the McKinney Center, next to the Student Health Center, or give us a call (660-785-4353).
