An International Career: Working Abroad

International Career:

As companies globalize or become multinational, it is becoming more important for job applicants to know how to market their skills internationally. As would be expected, interviewing and applying for jobs varies from culture to culture. Learning how to "sell yourself" in any culture is a valuable skill. 

International work can be short-term or long-term and include volunteer work, study abroad, internships, and professional jobs overseas. "International career" doesn't necessarily mean working abroad. You can also have an "international" career working in your home country for a foreign firm or a domestic firm with a diverse workforce. The key to finding the right company depends on your career goals and how far you are willing to travel.
