Outside of Work

I love traveling to new places, especially destinations with rich history. I also enjoy house renovations, home DIY projects, and spending time as a dedicated sports mom cheering on my kids.

My College Experience

As a first-generation college student, I learned early that getting involved could open doors and create opportunities. Those experiences helped shape both who I am as a person and the career path I chose. During college, I served as Student Government Association President, Editor in Chief of the Griffon News, and a member of the Student Activities Board. I also had the opportunity to study abroad, which deepened my appreciation for different cultures and communities. My college experience continues to influence my passion for helping students discover their own paths to succes.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I enjoy cafe stops with a cold brew, international travel, and spending time with the people I love. i’m drawn to warm, welcoming places, good conversation, and the kind of experiences that invite me to slow down and take in it all.

My College Experience

I was a first-generation college student, and one of the most meaningful parts of my experience was having an academic advisor who truly saw me and helped me find my way. His guidance stayed with me long after graduation, and we remained connected for years. That relationship shaped the way I think about student support, belonging, and the quiet power of having some one in you corner.

I was considered a non-traditional student. I was working full-time and taking a full class load most semesters. I had the honor of being a Graduate Assistant in the College of Education where I discovered I had a love for children and was fortunate to be hired right after graduation at a public library as a youth services librarian.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, whether that’s golfing, fishing, or helping out on my family’s farm. I also enjoy attending country concerts, painting, reading, and staying active when I can.

College Experience

My time at Truman State was shaped by the organizations I was involved in, including Collegiate Farm Bureau, Rehoboth College Ministry, Kirksville KLIFE, and the Community of College Entrepreneurs. I also worked at the Student Recreation Center throughout all four years of college, holding roles such as Desk Clerk, Weight Room Instructor, Building Supervisor, and Membership Services Desk Supervisor. These experiences allowed me to work closely with students, grow professionally, and stay involved in campus life in a meaningful way.
