Internships

Internships are a wonderful way to expand your skills and can sometimes lead to a permanent position. Tremendous internship opportunities are available ranging from part-time to full-time positions. Some internships are paid while others allow you to earn credit. And as a Truman student, you can participate in internship opportunities all across the country—you can even combine study abroad with an internship experience in another country.

Several University departments offer internships right here on campus and will work with you to create a schedule that fits in with your classes.

International students looking for an internship in the United States can apply to any internship open to domestic students. When asked if they require sponsorship, students should respond no. The university is their sponsor while students are on CPT or OPT.

For non-University sponsored internships, many of our departments have a coordinator who can help you locate an internship that matches your interests and professional goals. And the Career Center has resources to help with your internship search.
