Below is a list of all of the events that we currently host during the year at the Career Center!
When the events are near, you can RSVP using #HireTruman.
Career & Graduate School Expo Week
Each Spring and Fall semester, the Career Center Hosts a Career and Graduate School Week. Recruiters from Graduate schools, Enterprises, businesses, companies, non profit organizations and governmental departments come to Truman to seek out Truman students for their programs and open positions. Truman students get the chance to network with these employers, turn in their resume, and possibly get hired!
During the week, the Career center hosts other events such as Resumania, a Personal Statement workshop, and more to help students get prepared for the Expo.
Student Worker Fair
The student worker fair is an event held in the Spring Semester that is catered to helping students find on-campus employment that would help them to satisfy their work-study, scholarship service, or institutional pay requirements. Students meet with professors and on-campus departments to discuss open positions and find the right fit for their needs.
Real Life 101
We give presentations over a variety of topics that apply to students concerning their lives after graduation. Some topics include, but are not limited to; “Understanding Financial Literacy”, “How to apply for Loans”, and even interest specific topics such as “Life after college as a student athlete.”
Professional Photos
We partner with University Photographer Tim Barcus to give students the chance to get a professional headshot taken.
